Field of Study:
Distant Supervision
Distant Supervision is a method used to create weakly labeled training data automatically. It involves using an existing knowledge base to generate labels for text data under the assumption that if two entities participate in a relationship in the knowledge base, then any sentence that contains those two entities might express that relationship. This approach is particularly useful when manual labeling of data is not feasible due to the large volume of data.
